" We had no clue what kind of brand design we wanted. Studio Blue provided concept brand designs to help identify a design path to follow. Jessy was open to our requests and offered useful advice to help narrow down a brand design we are happy with. She also went over and above to provide us with brand guidelines to ensure our marketing remained consistent with our brand design. Highly recommend Jessy from Studio Blue."
Fresh Ink Festival works hard to support and showcase writers across the UK, ensuring a mix of diverse, creative works while promoting community awareness through “scratch-style” theatre nights.
Studio Blue took on their initial branding with a focus on creating a look with longevity for future years, mindful of evolving budgets.
We provided full-service branding, guidelines, a printed festival guide booklet design, social media templates, advertising, and bespoke illustration. The six festival shows explored topics and perspectives often underrepresented in mainstream media, making it essential to depict these themes in an emotive, heartfelt, and respectful manner. To achieve this, we developed the artwork in conjunction with the writers' wishes.
The final product is a vibrant, exciting, and easy-to-apply brand that captures the energy and spirit of the Fresh Ink Festival, giving it a strong, lasting visual identity.
The client had the following to say!
"Launching a new playwriting festival into a busy summer culture calendar and with a short lead time for building a brand-new audience, it was important to us that the branding captured our mission from the off. Jessy did just that, hitting the brief with a visual identity that captures the grassroots, nurturing approach of Fresh Ink in a way that stands out among other offers in Hull. The branding, show artwork and brochure design proved a hit with audiences and artists alike and gives us a fantastic platform on which to build future editions of the festival."
